Nurturing Resilience, Confidence, and Wellbeing
I believe that secure attachment underpins holistic child development and mental wellbeing, providing a foundation for children to feel safe, confident, and ready to learn. Families and educators both play a vital role in supporting these early bonds, which shape how children see the world and themselves. On this website, I share insights, strategies, and practical ideas to support children’s growth and development in a joyful and meaningful way, drawing on my experience in coaching and therapeutic practice, educational work, and my BSc in Psychology.

About me
Hi, I’m Diana!
I’m a fully qualified Early Years Educator with over ten years of experience as a nursery practitioner and six years as a registered childminder. I’m also a qualified Therapeutic Coach for Children and Families, having completed accredited studies in Coaching and Therapeutic Practice with Children and Families (ACCPH), actually studying for BSc in Psychology.
My childminding setting, Wise Childcare, has been graded Outstanding by Ofsted - feel free to take a peek on Facebook!
I’m passionate about supporting each child’s unique development, with a strong belief that emotional wellbeing is just as important as a rich learning environment. My work is grounded in the understanding that when children feel emotionally safe and seen, they can truly thrive.
Through my coaching and therapeutic training, I’ve gained practical tools and approaches that help me support not only children but also parents and fellow professionals in a reflective, empowering way. This qualification has allowed me to bring together everything I’ve learned over the years, from child development and attachment theory to self-regulation and family dynamics, into a holistic approach that nurtures both hearts and minds.
I’ve also shared my expertise in an article for Childminding.co.uk, exploring how coaching and therapeutic principles can be used in everyday childminding practice to support the emotional wellbeing of children, families, and practitioners. I also occasionally write publications based on my professional experience to share evidance-informed practice.
To expand on this work, I created Beyond Early Years, an educational platform for educators, and parents. It bridges the worlds of childcare, coaching, and therapeutic support, and psychology, offering practical, evidence-based tools to deepen our understanding of children and the ways we care for them.
From fostering emotional resilience and self-regulation to enhancing communication and connection, Beyond Early Years is all about helping children thrive while equipping adults with reflective insight and confidence. It’s a space that celebrates compassion, learning, and the belief that we all do better when we feel understood and supported.
I’m also currently working on an eBook for educators, focused on helping them develop amazing, emotionally informed practice, and thrive while doing it. My goal is to inspire both educational professionals and parents to feel happy, confident, and well-equipped to support children who are ready for whatever life brings their way.
On a more personal note, I’m a proud mum to a wonderful son, I have an amazing partner, two adorable dogs and a tortoise! I love nature, books, and after twenty years, I’m finally returning to one of my first loves: writing. I used to write stories as a teenager, and I’ve always found joy in learning and self-expression through words. It’s creative, fulfilling, and very me.
Whether I’m supporting children, guiding parents, or mentoring other professionals, my values remain the same: curiosity, compassion, and celebration, for ourselves and for the children we care for.
